Hola Familia!
Yep, Hermana Goff received a great welcome as we walked under the trees on the street we are on multiple times each day - a bird pooping on her shoulder. So sad! I have a few pics that will come your way. She is just one transfer "younger" than me. She spent all her time in the mission before now in Fallbrook. Which is where Hna Pechin went. (they switched places.) She is from Maryland and the only member in her family (wow!) because she was baptized at age 15. She was attending BYU-Idaho (woot woot) and plans to go back after to continue prep for elementary school teaching. and yeah. Things are good. I'm learning and growing. She is about my height and very thin naturally. She speaks softly because she has very good hearing. And she has a beautiful smile.
Thank you, thank you for the package! You are fabulous. The treats are sitting in the freezer and have been since I received the package. Man I want to eat them. But on I go. Hna Rosa is not doing well. She had another rough weekend. But Hna Yule is doing better with her word of wisdom problem. We shall see. Hna Zehuancatl keeps offerring treats and being crestfallen when I can't enjoy them. he he. You sent way more treats/snacks than I need because there just isn't time to eat snack food. I'm enjoying the granola bars for sure so thanks. Don't know what to do with the huge bag of pretzels. Hna Goff has eaten a few of the top ramens and I don't think I'll need anymore popcorn for the rest of my mission - still have some from before. Oh and ps I don't love that kind of gum. Phew, not trying to complain but let you know what works and what doesn't. THANKS!
So, Hna P did receive the pillowcase at transfer meetings. And I asked her to open it while I had my camera out. She was SO excited. Jumping around and saying "shut the front door" She really did love it. And I didn't need/want one but thanks! I've missed her in the past week. We were just together so long and so used to each other! Other people have missed her as well.
So pictures. You know I haven't seen a single picture of JJ since he returned home?!? How sad is that? I think it's pretty sad. Could you please send me one or two? Maybe just electronically? Great that you are keeping Jana busy and helping her do exciting, new things.
Yeah for the Cheney family! That is great news. And exciting news about Rebecca.
Well, I'm on my way out. Irony of ironies - my comp needs more blouses so we're visiting Kohl's today and I might end up going to the mall (ugh). Hopefully the birthday items will hold me over.
Oh! I felt really old at transfer meetings when I knew 5 of the 10 departing missionaries. Am I really on the ending slide of my mission? Weird.
Love you all so much. Heavenly Father loves and knows us and He supports us. I know that for sure. I'm just one of the weak things that He uses to help His other children. Hna Zehuancatl is doing well, coming to church and her husband joined us for a lesson which was great. Hno Hernandez continues reading and accepted a baptismal date - first time he's ever thought about the invitation seriously. Hurray!! We still have a bit of work to do with him. I LOVE studying in the Book of Mormon and hope you are all doing it regularly, as in every day.
Love,
Hermana Green
